Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College men's lacrosse sophomore face-off specialist Teddy Carlin has been named an honorable mention All-Centennial Conference selection, the conference office announced in its postseason awards release on Wednesday morning.

Carlin put up a fantastic campaign in his first full season with the Fords, proving to be a force from the "X". The New York native finished the season 184-319 in face-offs, the third most wins in the conference, while posting a 57.7 percentage. He added 79 ground balls, the fifth-most in the Centennial Conference, and scored two goals, finding the back of the net in the season opener at Cabrini (Feb. 19) and at Ithaca (Mar. 8).

He was named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week after setting a Haverford College program record with 25 face-off wins in 34 attempts against Mary Washington on February 26. He scooped nine ground balls in that win. He also reached double-digit GBs on two occasions, earning 10 against Ithaca (Mar. 8) and a career-best 13 against Washington College on April 16, in a 23-28 performance at the X. In total, Carlin logged 10 contests with double-digit face-off wins during his sophomore campaign.

Blake Brinster was named to the Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team. The senior appeared in 14 of 15 games, logging 19 goals, eight assists, eight ground balls, and four caused turnovers. The Ambler Scholar Athlete tallied a season-best three goals in the 15-14 triumph over Mary Washington on February 26.
