ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The No. 31 Haverford College men's squash team (2-1) split the day at the Navy Round Robin, taking a resounding 8-1 win over No. 32 Fordham before falling in the late afternoon match to the host Midshipmen, the No. 16 squad in the initial College Squash Association Rankings, by a 9-0 final.

In the first round of matches on the day, first year Quinton Crawford was able to hold court against Winthrop Reed at the fourth flight, cruising to an 11-4, 11-1, 11-2 victory. Tate Miller also made quick work of Griffin Fitzgerald at the third spot on the ladder. Miller took a 11-6, 11-9, 11-4 win to set the tone for Haverford out of the gates, as the Fords jetted out to a 2-0 lead. Miller moved into an eighth place tie with Alex Liu '19 and Aaron Horowitz '17 on Haverford's career all-time wins leaderboard, earning his 36th victory.
First year Khalil Walker then came back from two games down to storm past Dylan Panichello, battling to an enthralling 11-4, 9-11, 2-11, 12-10, 12-10 victory at the eighth flight. First year John Collins later outlasted Jacob Bennett at the sixth flight, taking the first two games before Bennett rallied to steal the third. Collins eventually prevailed in four with an unrelenting 11-2 decision in the fifth and final game (13-11, 11-3, 5-11, 11-2).
With the Fords holding on to a commanding 4-0 lead, the next match to finish featured Davis Chase at the top flight. Chase made quick work of William Douglass in an 11-6, 11-3, 11-8 sweep, clinching the victory for Haverford. Aaron Witkin then got the best of Caleb Schumacher at the ninth flight (11-5, 11-7, 11-8) for Haverford's sixth individual match victory of the afternoon.
The final grouping featured Fitz Dougherty prevailing over Patrick Rodden in three (11-5, 11-7, 11-2) at the second flight before Keil Reedich outlasted Tommy White in a five-game thriller at the fifth flight. Reedich fell into an 0-2 hole before surrendering just 16 points over the final three games in a reverse sweep (10-12, 8-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-5). Fordham got on the board late as Justin Deckoff was able to steal a decision from first year Nathan Wang (11-7, 11-5, 11-7) at the seventh flight.
The Fords are now 19-8 all-time against Fordham, and have won 18 straight matchups with the Rams, a streak that dates back to the 2001-02 season.
Navy 9, Haverford 0
Against a formidable Navy side, Haverford was able to impress in the early goings. Khalil Walker took a game off of Gus Prager at the eighth flight, taking an 11-7 decision in the third game after falling behind by 11-6 and 11-8 finals. Davis Chase also looked strong at the first flight, going toe-to-toe with Jack Lentz and notching eight points in the second game.
The Fords will now host the annual Alumni Match at the GIAC Squash Courts on November 16, before returning to CSA play on November 23 on the Poughkeepsie, N.Y. campus of Vassar. Action at the Vassar Round Robin is slated to begin at 1 p.m. as Haverford takes on No. 28 Connecticut College and the host No. 35 Brewers.
