Centennial Conference release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Raja Arul of the Haverford College men's tennis team has been named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team. The team features one student-athlete from each institution as selected by their head coaches.

Sportsmanship is one of the pillars of NCAA Division III and the Centennial Conference. The Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Teams recognize student-athletes who exemplify the fundamental values of respect, fairness, civility, honesty, and responsibility both on and off the field or playing surface.

Arul earns inclusion on the all-sportsmanship team for the second time in his career after first garnering that same accolade during his rookie campaign. Despite spending his entire junior year studying abroad and playing just an abbreviated senior season, Arul won 14 doubles matches and 11 singles matches throughout his time with the Fords.

Those victories helped Arul earned second-team All-Centennial Conference honors in doubles during his first-year with the Fords. In addition to his two all-sportsmanship accolades, Haverford's senior was twice named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. He is graduating from Haverford with a degree in economics after joining the Fords from Shakopee, Minnesota.
