Men's Track & Field Ranked No. 15 in Latest USTFCCCA Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's indoor track and field team is ranked No. 15 in the fifth weekly Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field National Team Computer Rankings, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday afternoon. In this week's rankings release, Haverford amassed 53.91 total points.

Last week, the Fords finished second at the Keogh Invitational at the Alumni Field House, compiling a total of 73 points.

Liam Lynch won the 800-meter title for the Fords while the 4x400 meter relay squad of Gene Perry, Chris Goings, Scott Pollara and Lynch also took home an event title on the afternoon.

Haverford also excelled in the mile run with Marcelo Jauregui-Volpe finishing in second with a career-best time of 4:25.79 while Lincoln Satterthwaite was third in a career-best 4:25.88. James Barker finished fourth in 4:26.43. James Stadler was sixth in a career-best 4:28.72 and Conor Madden was ninth in a career best time of 4:31.18.

Dylan Gearinger, Greg Morgan and Henry Woods have each posted 3,000 meter times within the top 20 in NCAA Division III this season while Gearinger and Graham Peet have each posted top-15 5,000 meter times. Gearinger and Morgan have also scored within the national top 20 in the mile run to help vault the Fords to national prominence.

North Central (Ill.), Mount Union, Rowan, Wisconsin-La Crosse, MIT, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Christopher Newport, Benedictine (Ill.), Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Wisconsin Eau-Claire make up the top ten programs in the weekly rankings.

Haverford is next in action at the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25 inside the Floy Lewis Bakes Center at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.
