HAVERFORD, Pa. – On the heels of the Centennial Conference Championships last weekend, the Haverford College Men's Indoor Track & Field team is ranked 13th in the sixth weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches (USTFCCCA) Division III National Ratings Index. The post-conference rating is up three spots from last week's No. 16 showing.

In addition to the top mile and 3,000-meter marks in the nation held by senior Greg Morgan, times which score 20 points each towards Haverford's total in the ratings index, Graham Peet's 5,000-meter time of 14:35.73 at the Centennial Championships is currently the 25th-best mark in the nation. Haverford's distance medley relay squad of Chris Goings, Hiroshi Kawakatsu, Ian Woodhouse, and Morgan also picked up points towards Haverford's rating total, as their event-winning time of 10:07.62 was scored as the ninth-fastest unique squad in Division III so far this season.

At the Centennial Conference Championships last week, Haverford picked up five total event championships, finishing second overall with 109.5 points. Morgan picked up the mile crown, while Peet completed the vaunted distance double, capturing the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters on back-to-back days of competition. Liam Lynch won the 400 meters for the fourth consecutive season, becoming the first Haverford men's track athlete to win four indoor crowns in a single event and the first performer in the history of the Centennial Conference to win the 400 meters in four straight seasons. The aforementioned DMR squad also returned to the top of the podium.

North Central (Ill.) continues to hold the top spot in the rankings, while Wisconsin-La Crosse, Wisconsin- Oshkosh, Mount Union, Wisconsin-Platteville, Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Wesley, MIT, Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Washington-St. Louis round out the top 10. Centennial foe Johns Hopkins sits in 33rd. The Fords are off from competition this weekend in advance of the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships, which will be held on March 8 and March 9 in Boston at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
