Men's Indoor Track & Field Earns Six USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

Full USTFCCCA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford men's indoor track & field squad team picked up six All-Region certificates, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced in a release on Monday. The honors were split between Haverford's two NCAA mile qualifiers as well as the Centennial Conference champion distance medley relay squad.

All-Region designation is given to student-athletes who rank within the top five marks for an individual event according to the final TFRRS list in their respective regions. Runners who are part of relays that finish within the top three in the region are also designated as All-Region athletes. Matt Katz and Jamie Moreland each picked up designation for both the mile and the DMR. The pair of plaudits are the first two in Katz's career while Moreland adds the award to his 2019 800-meter award.

Hiro Kawakatsu earns the honor for his role on the distance medley relay team for the second straight season, while senior Sam Ditkovsky also pulled an All-Region honor by virtue of his debut performance in that gold medal DMR on February 29 at Franklin & Marshall.

Katz and Moreland (mile) have qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, which will take place on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem, N.C.. Live video and timing for the national meet are available via HaverfordAthletics.com
