USTFCCCA Division III National Coaches Poll
Mideast Regional Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. - On the eve of Saturday's Paul Short Run at Lehigh, the Haverford College men's cross country team checks in at No. 21 in the United States Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) National Coaches Poll. Haverford also remains at No. 3 in the latest Mideast Regional ranking, behind national No. 7 Carnegie Mellon and No. 9 Johns Hopkins. No. 25 Dickinson is fourth in the regional ranking, while Moravian is the fifth-ranked squad in the Mideast grouping. 

The top five teams in the weekly poll were unchanged from a week ago as North Central (Ill.), Williams, Washington-St. Louis, Wartburg, and Wisconsin-La Crosse make up the top five squads according to the vote of Division III coaches. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps has flipped with Carnegie Mellon to enter the top six while Pomona-Pitzer also rises from 10th to eighth and Calvin falls from eighth to 10th. 

Last week, a select group of Haverford runners competed at the Dan Talbot Open, a twilight run at Rose Tree Park in Media. The Fords breezed to the event title, with junior Jack Hunter taking the event crown.

Lehigh's Paul Short Run is on the horizon for Haverford, as the Fords will compete in the men's Brown Race. The grouping features Division I squads from American, Binghamton, Bucknell, Colgate, Columbia, Duquesne, Fairfield, George Washington, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Loyola (Md.), Marist, New Hampshire, Niagara, Quinnipiac, Rider, St. Francis (Pa.), UMBC, and VCU along with Division III regional foes Johns Hopkins, Dickinson, Moravian and Swarthmore. No. 31 WPI is also an entrant in the Brown race, representing the New England region.

The action at the Goodman Cross Country course in Bethlehem, Pa. is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. with the men's 8K Open Race. The men's 8K Brown Race has its starting gun slated for 12:15 p.m.
