Late comebacks seemed to be the theme of the day for the Haverford College softball team during its non-conference sweep against Neumann in 2019. Despite claiming both ends of the doubleheader, the Fords needed to push across the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning during game one. In game two, Marybeth Stone's two-run walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth ended a back-and-forth battle to secure the sweep. The Fords needed to score two runs in the bottom of the seventh just to force extra innings and did so with a Temma Levis RBI single and sacrifice fly from Johanna Batterton. Stone then drove in both Phoebe May and Batterton during the eighth inning rally with Haverford trailing and down to its final out.
