Full D3hoops.com Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's basketball team continues to receive votes in the D3Hoops.com women's basketball top 25 poll, earning 15 tallies in the first in-season release of the weekly rankings. The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors, and media members from across the nation. The Fords and Gettysburg are the two Centennial Conference teams receiving votes, as each program notched 15 tallies in the week one tabulation.

Haverford, the defending Centennial Conference champions, are 4-1 on the young season, jumping out to a hot start behind a ferocious defensive effort that is limiting opponents to the fourth-lowest points per game tally in all of Division III (41.4 ppg). Haverford's lone loss came in a true road contest at current No. 18 Marymount (Va.) in the Pablo Coto Tip-Off tournament on November 15.

Senior Anna-Sophia Capizzi has helped key the hot start, as she was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday morning. Capizzi ranks third in the Centennial Conference in points per game (17.6), and leads the Centennial in three-pointers (12) and steals (15).

The Fords return to action tonight, facing off with Catholic (6-0) at 6 p.m. inside the Gooding '84 Arena. The matchup is Haverford's first with Catholic since 2006, and represents the final non-conference game of the 2019-20 slate as well as the final home contest of the 2019 portion of the schedule.
