James Clark
Title: Assistant Coach

James Clark joined the Haverford women’s basketball coaching staff prior to the 2021-22 season, bringing a bevy of experience within the world of basketball to Steph Carideo’s staff. 

Clark is the CEO of Full Court Solutions, a player development program. He manages the day to day operations of the company and works with players ranging from middle school age to professionals. 

In addition to international coaching stints with the Chinese Men’s National team and the Canadian Men’s National team, Wagner has served in coaching roles for professional and amateur organizations in China, Indonesia and Japan, and worked on the women’s basketball staff at Georgetown and Wagner.

Clark spent five seasons as an assistant at Drexel University where he helped guide the Dragons to four-consecutive postseason tournament appearances over four seasons, a school record. During his five years at Drexel, the Dragons posted a 97-59 record (.621), highlighted by a 24-9 record in 2008-09, a season that was capped by winning the CAA regular season and the CAA postseason tournament, which resulted in a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

During his tenure at Drexel, Clark coached two players who went on to play professionally including Gabriela Marginean who became the first Dragon to be drafted by the WNBA.

Clark completed his bachelor's degree in general studies at La Salle University in 2004. While pursuing his degree, he coached with the Philadelphia Belles Girls' Basketball Club from 2004-07. The Belles have amassed more than 5,000 victories and over 300 championships in nearly 40 years of local, regional, national and international competition. 

A non-profit organization chartered in 1978, the Belles have age-group teams which compete in the AAU, US Junior Nationals and EGBA Tournaments. Since 1978, over 1,500 members of the Belles program have received college scholarships.

While working for the Belles, Clark also served as head boy's basketball coach at Philadelphia's Springside High School and was a coach for the Mid-Atlantic U-15 Boys Basketball program.

Clark's first foray into coaching was serving as head coach of the women's varsity team at his alma mater, Capuchino High School in San Bruno, Calif. He is also a renowned shooting coach working with a roster of NBA and WNBA players. Early in his career, Clark worked with the Orlando Miracle of the WNBA.

The Northern California native played collegiate ball at Santa Rosa Junior College, West Georgia College and Bethany College. 

Clark also played one year of professional basketball in Australia in 2000 before entering the coaching ranks.
