HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College women's lacrosse senior co-captain Allie Gibbons has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the Centennial Conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon.

Gibbons set a new program record for points in a single contest (11), and tied the program's single-game mark for goals with eight tallies in Haverford's 21-14 win against Christopher Newport.  Gibbons, a second-team All-Centennial Conference selection a season ago, also added a caused turnover and a ground ball to her herculean offensive effort as the team established new program single-game records with 39 total points and 18 assists in the season opener on Swan Field.

Gibbons is currently third in Division III with eight goals per game, while Haverford's overall offensive performance propelled the squad to the top of the assists per game, points per game, and shots per game leaderboards, as Haverford currently ranks as the nation's top team in each of the three categories.

The Baltimore, Md. native picks up her second Centennial Conference weekly award, as she was also named Offensive Player of the Week during the 2017 campaign after scoring five goals in an early-season win over Randolph-Macon. The psychology major ranks 13th in program history in career goals with 117, and is 12th in career points per game with 3.02 per contest. She was an IWLCA All-Metro region selection after the 2017 campaign, and is the reigning Centennial Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.

GIbbons and the Fords (1-0) will return to action on Tuesday, taking on No. 3 TCNJ at Swan Field. Opening draw is slated for 4:30 p.m.
