Full IWLCA Division III Coaches' Poll Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford Women's Lacrosse team is ranked 21st in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Poll, the organization announced in a release Monday. Haverford (2-1) enters the rankings after a momentous upset victory over then-No. 3 TCNJ (1-1) on Tuesday evening on Swan Field. The Fords later dropped a one-goal contest to then-No. 25 Scranton, 13-12 on Saturday afternoon. The undefeated Royals (4-0) are slotted No. 20 in the latest poll release.

Defending national champion Gettysburg is a unanimous selection for the top spot with all 25 first place votes going to the Bullets. Mary Washington, and Washington & Lee are ranked second and third, respectively, while conference foe Franklin & Marshall jumps from No. 10 up to the fourth spot in the poll. Salisbury, Middlebury, York (Pa.), Colby, Trinity (Conn.), and Tufts make up the rest of the 10 teams in the nation in the latest release.

Haverford has jetted out to its impressive start thanks in part to a well-rounded offensive performance. Senior Allie Gibbons has already picked up Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors this season and leads the team with 13 goals and four assists. Junior Julia Manetta has tallied 11 assists while senior Rina Rosnow has 11 goals through the first three contests.  Junior Anna Meyers owns a team best five caused turnovers while sophomore Amelia Slade has posted 35 saves in her three starts between the pipes.

Haverford returns to action tomorrow, taking on Arcadia at home. Opening draw at Swan Field is slated for 7 p.m.
