HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior defender Emily Krupnick was named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the conference office announced in its weekly release.

Krupnick had a fantastic week as the Fords went 2-0 with non-conference wins over Albright and Scranton to pull to 3-1 overall on the young season. The Mountain Lakes, N.J. product collected three ground balls, a draw control, and a pair of caused turnovers in a home win over Albright as Haverford allowed just six goals on Wednesday before following that up with a caused turnover, a pair of ground balls,  and a draw control in Saturday's 15-10 win over Scranton.

The political science major, an honorable mention All-Centennial selection a season ago, is a co-captain of the Fords in her senior season. This is her second Centennial Conference Player of the Week award, as she was previously honored in April of 2018.

The Fords return to action on Wednesday, taking on St. Mary's College of Maryland in St. Mary's City. The contest is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
