Our last full day in Portugal was super fun and filled with so many activities! We started the morning with a walking tour that took us from historical Lisbon all the way to the new part that was remodeled after an earthquake. We passed so many incredible monuments and sentimental venues.

We were joined by our guide for the walking tour, Francisco, who told us every fact imaginable and answered all of our questions. On the historic side, we passed the tower of Belem, the monument of Discovery and Windrose, and the most famous monastery in Portugal. We also couldn't wait to try Portugal's most famous pastry from the original bakery, Pastreis de Belem. We were also about to see great views of Lisbon from the top of a monument, historic castles, and royal residencies.

On the newer side, we walked down cobblestone streets and took lots of pictures next to tiled walls. We then drove to a mall where we enjoyed a nice lunch and did some shopping. We went straight to our game against Benfica. We tied the game 1-1 with a goal from Leanne Ludwick and a beautiful assist from Kendra Griesman. We learned some valuable lessons and can't wait to continue to build off it this season.

Lastly, after a quick stop at the hotel to shower, we went to a cultural Portuguese dinner that was accompanied with traditional music called Fado. It was really cool to experience a different country's food, music, and traditions all at one time. This was our latest night yet and we all went back to the hotel and packed our things because we are coming home tomorrow! We are sad to leave this incredible country but can't wait to get back home!
