Full CSC Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Six members of the Haverford College women's soccer team were honored by the College Sports Communications (formerly CoSIDA) as members of the  CSC Academic All-District  team, the organization announced in a release on Tuesday afternoon.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.00 scale) at his/her current institution. Seniors Ashley Chun, Claire Cywes, Kendall Ozorowski, Celia Page, and Alyssa Saito joined junior Sadie Kim in earning the honor for the 2022 season.

Chun appeared in 15 games, logging one start. She tallied three goals and an assist on the season. The psychology major was seemingly unstoppable against Delaware Valley on September 7 as she tallied a hat-trick and added an assist on Alyssa Saito's 73rd minute strike to finish the day in first on the squad with seven points. The stellar output is the fourth-best in program history.

Cywes, a biology major, was a standout between the pipes in her senior season, logging 16 starts and registering a 0.96 GAA with 46 saves. She tallied shutouts against Arcadia (Sep. 3), Delaware Valley (Sep. 7), Washington College (Sep. 21), Immaculata (Sep. 27), Ursinus (Oct. 8), and McDaniel (Oct. 15).

Ozorowski, a biology major, was a standout on the defense for Haverford, marking 13 appearances, all starts for the Fords. She appeared in shutout wins over Arcadia (Sep. 3), Delaware Valley (Sep. 7), Muhlenberg (Oct. 1), and McDaniel (October 15).

Page, an economics major, was a standout offensively all season long for the Fords for the second consecutive season, earning a second-team nod after a second consecutive five-goal season.  Page struck for five goals and three assists in 16 games played, firing 41 shots, including 22 on target during the campaign. Three of her goals were game-winners, as she notched the go-ahead tallies against Immaculata (Sep. 27), Muhlenberg (Oct. 1) and McDaniel (Oct. 15).

Saito, an honorable mention All-Conference pick a season ago, appeared in 16 games, logging 15 starts. The psychology major grabbed a goal against Delaware Valley (Sep. 7) and also added a goal in the win over Immaculata (Sep. 27). She tallied her assist in the season opener against Arcadia on September 3.

Kim, the junior captain chemistry major, appeared in 16 games, making one start and tallying three goals. She found the back of the net in wins over Delaware Valley (Sep. 7) and Muhlenberg (Oct. 1), registering a pair of goals on five shots against the Mules.
