GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Haverford College women's tennis team closed out the Centennial Conference regular season by rolling past host Gettsyburg College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.

Headed to the Centennial Conference playoffs for the fifth straight year, the Fords (11-6, 7-3 CC) dominated the Bullets (8-8, 3-7) throughout the match.

Haverford moved out to a 3-0 lead after doubles and never looked back as the visitors claimed straight set wins at each of the six singles positions.

Caitlin Gallagher, ranked 14th in singles in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South Region, improved to 15-2 in 2013 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Caroline Haymans at No. 1.

Kate Donches, at No. 6, also relinquished just two games in her 6-1, 6-1 victory over Bev Keyes.

Joining Gallagher and Donches as winners in both doubles and singles on the day were Alex Ferrara, Robyn Himelstein and Celia Tong.

The Fords, the 11th-ranked team in the Atlantic South, finished the regular-season slate in fourth place in the conference standings and will consequently host fifth-seeded Washington College (7-10, 5-5) in the opening-round match of the Centennial tournament. The meeting between the two squads will be a rematch of last year's opening-round playoff contest where Haverford registered a 5-1 victory over the visiting Shorewomen. The 2013 regular season saw the host Fords take down Washington, 6-3, on April 17.

Haverford and the Shorewomen will square off with a spot in the Centennial semifinals on the line at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1.
