CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The Haverford College women's tennis team rolled past host Washington College, 8-1, in Centennial Conference action on Thursday.

The victory enabled the Fords (10-3, 6-2 CC) to reach double digits in the win column for the fourth straight campaign.

Haverford picked up a pair of 8-1 victories at No. 2 and No. 3 during the doubles portion of the match.

The Fords then went on to claim straight-set wins in each of the six singles contests. Senior Abbey Flynn blanked Monica Benitez at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0) to give the visitors a 3-1 lead in the match.

Sophomore Robyn Himelstein, playing at No. 3, dropped just one game in a quick conquest of Emily Evans (6-1, 6-0) before senior Kate Donches clinched the overall match with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Amy Stevens at No. 4.

Himelstein, Donches and freshman Abby Payson each accounted for two points on the day against the Shorewomen (3-11, 0-8).

Ranked 10th in the Atlantic South, Haverford returns to action on April 23 at Swarthmore College. The conference match against the rival Garnet (5-7, 4-1) begins at 4:30 p.m.
