SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Haverford College women's tennis team wrapped up its stint at the Swarthmore Invitational on Sunday, facing off with the host Garnet in a rematch of last spring's Centennial Conference semifinals. After going 20-for-20 in individual matches over the first day of action, the Fords added three more wins to their ledger on day two of competition at the Faulkner Courts.

Haverford earned individual victories from Mimi Lavin and Sriya Krishnan in singles play, as Lavin took down Erica Stutz (6-0, 7-6) and Krishnan got past Marisa Geib (6-4, 6-2). In doubles, the team of Abhi Menon and Erika Phanord defeated Riya Rao and Geib (8-7).

Rao defeated Fitzgerald in singles play in a superbreaker after Fitzgerald took the first set 7-5, and Summer Williams also grabbed a first set win over Spencer Watts (6-1) before her opponent from Swarthmore rallied 7-6 and then took the superbreaker to prevail. Kathleen Shiffer defeated Ellie Esterowitz in straight sets (6-3, 6-2).

The Fords will return to action next weekend at the annual ITA Southeast Regional, wrapping up the fall slate at University of Mary Washington. More information and draws for that tournament are expected to be announced later this week.
