COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team posted a bevy of top marks at the Ursinus Bow Tie Meet on Friday evening, finishing seventh overall in the season lid-lifter at the Floyd Bakes Track Center. The Fords totaled 22 points in their first meet of the season, including some talented first-year student-athletes etching their names into the record books in their debut competitions.

Olivia D'Aulerio was one of those talented debutants as she had a stellar start to her first track campaign on campus, with some top marks in both the 60 meters and the 200 meters on Friday. In the 60-meter prelims, D'Aulerio notched a second place finish with a time of 8.03, breezing into the final where she finished fourth overall in 8.18. The 8.03 mark from the preliminary heats matches the fourth-best time in the program's indoor history. Layan Shaban also made her collegiate debut with a 34th place showing in the prelims (10.44).

In the 200 meters, D'Aulerio again was a spirited second in the final, notching a time of 26.57, the sixth-best time in program history in her 200-meter debut for Haverford. Rachel November was 15th in 29.43 to round out the Haverford contingent in the event. The 400-meter run featured November notching a fifth-place finish (1:06.53) while Ella Fleming also finished within the top 10 (1:09.17), crossing in ninth. Gabby Garza notched a 17th place showing (1:14.49).

First year Sarah Wilcher had a strong debut in the shot put, as she cleared 10.57 meters, good for a fourth place showing, and a top 10 mark in the program's indoor history (34 feet, 8.25 inches), while Sydney Cummings also notched an impressive 12th-place effort, with a throw of 10.03 meters (32 feet, 11 inches). In the weight throw, Wilcher recorded a 13th-place finish with a mark of 11 meters (36 feet, 1 inch), while Cummings was 15th with a mark of 10.39 meters (34 feet, 1 inch) as the throwers marked the season debut.

The Fords will now pause for finals and the winter holiday break before returning to action in the beginning of January 2023, at the TCNJ Indoor Invitational on January 14 at the world famous NYC Armory.
