HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team impressed on Saturday inside Alumni Field House, in its first of two home meets this indoor season. The team recorded three first-place finishes as many athletes placed themselves firmly on the conference performance list in a strong showing.

Kicking off the meet on the track was the women's 4x200 meter relay team. Haverford's relay squad won the event convincingly, with a time of 1:49.56 as the next closest team crossed the finish line nearly two seconds later. The time was also just outside the program's top 10 list.

Not letting the fireworks go out too quickly, senior Jahsaiah Moses promptly took the win in the 60-meter dash. Just a week ago, Moses placed herself sixth on Haverford's all-time list and followed that performance up on Saturday, running 8.16. It was only 0.03 seconds behind her personal best. Consistency is the name of the game in track and field and Moses certainly has that down early in the season.

Perhaps the performance of the meet came in the 400 meters. Olivia D'Aulerio, already making her mark on the record books, decided to add another top-ten performance to her name. The first-year sprinter took first place in the 400 meters, running 59.97 for a sub-60 performance. With that time, she sits fourth on the Haverford all-time indoor list and is currently second in the conference. D'Aulerio now has three top-ten performances this season, as she holds the Centennial Conference record in the 300 meters, is ranked fifth in the 60 meters, and now fourth in the 400 meters. Carly Priest also competed in the race crossing the line in 1:07.44. Priest's time was good for an 11th place finish.

Isabel Thornberry ventured back up to the 800 meters and put down a solid time in her 2023 debut in the distance. Running 2:28.10, Thornberry finished seventh overall and ranks twelfth in the conference. Rachel November crossed the line in 2:36.01, while just behind her was the trio of Annemarie Wood (2:42.23), Sophia Furman (2:43.81), and Jessie Hausman (2:44.87). First-year Gabby Garza was the lone athlete in the 200 meters, clocking in at 30.59.

In the pole vault, Alice Creed cleared 2.45m (8ft, 0.5in) for the second week in a row. In the shot put, Sarah Wilcher improved on her performance from a week ago, throwing out to 11.19m (36ft, 5in). Wilcher currently sits fourth in the conference with her biggest throw of the season so far as that mark is also within the program's top 10 all-time.

Wilcher also competed in the weight throw, held off-site on Friday evening at Widener, throwing 9.82m (32ft, 2in). Claire Cywes finished right behind Wilcher with a throw of 7.99m (26ft, 2.5in)

The Fords will look for some more strong marks next weekend as the team heads to Medford, Massachusetts for the Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday, February 4. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
