Women's Track & Field Earns Five All-Region Certificates

Full USTFCCCA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - A trio of student-athletes from the Haverford track & field program were honored as Katie Hirsche, Fiona Flynn, and Kayla Robinson were each named to United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Metro Region honors for the outdoor season, the organization announced in a postseason awards release. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.  In total, the program picked up five All-Region certificates in the spring of 2022.

Hirsche picked up the honor in her first year campaign in the 10,000 meters, while Robinson earned a pair of certificates in field events, earning designation for both the triple jump and heptathlon after a standout well-rounded campaign. Co-captain Flynn earned the honors in the long jump as well as the 400 meter hurdles in her senior season at Haverford.

All-Region designation is reserved for student-athletes who are ranked within the top five marks for an individual event according to the final TFRRS lists or runners who are part of a relay team that finished within the top three squads in the region. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
