Former team captain Jeanna Kenney ’16 joined the Haverford College volleyball staff as an assistant coach in 2017. During her playing career at her alma mater, Kenney was a regular on the court for the Fords as a defensive specialist/libero on the 2012-15 Haverford College volleyball teams. The Fords won at least 20 matches during each of those seasons, highlighted by the 2014 team’s trip to the NCAA Tournament regional semifinals. Additionally, Haverford made the Centennial Conference Tournament in three of her four seasons, hosting the tournament during the 2014 season and appearing in the championship match in 2015.

Kenney graduated ranked fifth in school history with a career .947 serving percentage and 10th with an average of 3.45 digs per set. Her career-best 510 digs as a senior were the 10th highest single-season total in school history. Kenney was selected as the team’s Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team representative in each of her final three seasons, also earning recognition on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll during each of those eligible seasons. She was also honored as an Ambler Scholar-Athlete by having one of the highest grade point averages among her fellow senior student-athletes in the Class of 2016.
