Men's and Women's Tennis Regular Season Finales at Dickinson Cancelled due to Rain

CARLISLE, Pa. - Due to rain in the Carlisle area and the wetness of the Hays Tennis courts, Coupled with the absence of an available indoor backup facility, the regular season finales for Haverford College men's and women's tennis have been cancelled.

Play began on the Dickinson campus, with both the men's and women's squads jumping out to a 3-0 lead after doubles before play was halted for the day. 

Haverford will now enter the postseason, with Centennial Conference Tournament action on the horizon. The women's squad has secured the second seed in the tournament and will confront the winner of the First Round clash between third-seeded Swarthmore and the sixth-seeded team, which will either be Washington College or Gettysburg, on Thursday, May 2.

The men's squad is guaranteed the third seed and will travel to second-seeded Johns Hopkins on Friday, May 3. 

Additional details regarding the Centennial Conference Men's and Women's Tennis tournaments, including match times, will be confirmed during Monday's conference calls.
