Rabayda Becomes Two-Time CC Pitcher of the Week

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College Baseball senior Mike Rabayda has been named the Centennial Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday morning.

Rabayda picked up the second Centennial Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolade after delivering a standout performance in the spring break opener for the Fords, registering 6.2 innings of three-hit ball, striking out 11 with no walks and without allowing an earned run in Haverford's 2-1 victory over Skidmore in seven innings.

The Richboro, Pa. native began the ballgame by striking out the side in the first and second innings, recording two more in the third and one in the fourth. Skidmore batters hit just .115 in the contest.

The Council Rock South product also won the first Centennial Conference Pitcher of the week award for the 2024 season, after the senior threw five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win in a 6-2 victory over Gwynedd Mercy in February. The start was the first for Rabayda in nearly two years, as he missed the 2023 season due to injury.

After a remarkable 2022 season where he earned Second-Team All-Conference honors, as well as being selected to the ABCA All-Region 5 Third-team, Rabayda is taking the 2024 season by storm.

Following an off day Wednesday, Rabayda and the Fords return to spring break action taking on Wisconsin Lutheran in Fort Myers, Florida at 9 a.m.
