ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Haverford College baseball team (16-12, 6-5 CC) maintained their offensive prowess with a commanding 13-6 victory over Muhlenberg (7-22, 1-10 CC) at Cedarcreek Field on Tuesday afternoon, pounding out 17 hits in their triumph.

Kyle Beach stood out, matching a game-best with four RBI, including two doubles. Chuck Norton also contributed with a pair of doubles during his three-hit performance, while Kendrick Curry II joined in with a three-hit day of his own. Adding to the barrage, Harry Genth, Jack Wallis, and Jonny Flieder each secured two hits for the Fords. The Fords dominated the base paths, with Genth swiping four bags and Rosman grabbing two. Norton, Wallis, Flieder, and Mauro DeCilis also joined the base-stealing parade in the victory. Ryan Riccio managed three hits for the homestanding Mules.

The offensive onslaught ignited both lineups early, with a combined seven runs scored in the first inning alone. Setting the table yet again, Daniel Rosman notched an infield single, followed by Harry Genth drawing a walk. The duo then executed a double steal, positioning themselves in scoring position. With one out, Jack Wallis delivered a sacrifice fly, while Genth swiped third just before Kyle Beach and Jonny Flieder smashed back-to-back doubles, catapulting Haverford to an early 3-0 lead against Mules' pitcher Frank Kern.

Sending Alex Jenkinson to the mound, fresh from a solid Wednesday start against Ursinus less than a week prior, Haverford faced a challenge as Muhlenberg promptly loaded the bases against the rookie. Marc Quarrie connected on a grand slam, thrusting the Mules back into a 4-3 lead. Despite the setback, Jenkinson limited the damage, but Muhlenberg tacked on another run in the second inning courtesy of a sacrifice fly from Brendan Hughes.

Haverford clawed back in the third inning, with Wallis singling into left field, stealing second, and advancing to third on a groundout from Beach, setting the stage for Curry to drive him home with a single up the middle.

The Fords flexed their offensive muscle again in the fourth, as Rosman walked, stole second, and then added back-to-back doubles from Norton and Wallis. With Beach drawing a walk, Curry seized the moment with a single, propelling Haverford to a 7-5 lead.

In the fourth inning, Colin Lewis was called from the bullpen, and despite his efforts, Brendan Hughes managed an RBI triple, narrowing the gap to just one run.

Haverford secured some insurance runs in the sixth, with Beach delivering an RBI single, and then opening up their lead with three more runs in the seventh inning. Harry Genth put a bow on the inning with a homer to center field, followed by doubles from Norton and Beach.

In the ninth, Genth walked, stole second, and Norton contributed another single. Flieder capped off the victory with an RBI single later in the frame.

Lewis provided four innings of two-hit relief, striking out four and conceding just one run to pick up the win, while Drew Doyle closed out the final two frames, striking out three in his scoreless stint.

Haverford will now wrap up a home-and-home series with these very same Mules on Friday at Kannerstein Field. First pitch of the Centennial Conference contest is slated for 3:30 p.m.
