HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior goalkeeper Hannah Roth has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Wednesday. The honor was the first weekly award of Roth's career. A Haverford player picked up the award for the second straight week, as Julie Post was awarded following last week's unblemished slate for the Fords. Haverford moved to 7-0 with a 2-0 win over No. 8 Rowan on Saturday, becoming the first team in the nation to reach the 7-0 mark.

Roth logged a pair of wins in the cage for the Fords, tallying nine saves and allowing just one goal in victories over Elizabethtown and No. 8 Rowan. She opened the week with four saves in the win over E-town, before posting a five-save effort in a shutout of the Profs. The shutout was the third of the season for the senior. The Wilmette, Ill. product played every minute in goal for Haverford as the Fords have sprinted out to the best start in program history and are just one win shy of matching the program's all-time longest win streak. The shutout of Rowan was Haverford's highest-ranked victory since October of 2010.

Roth and the Fords next return to action on Saturday, taking on McDaniel in the Centennial Conference opener on Swan Field. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
