Reid Tietjen Named Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford sophomore attacker Reid Tietjen has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 24, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

Tietjen played a pivotal role in the Fords' 13-12 double-overtime upset victory over Franklin & Marshall, a team receiving votes in the latest USILA national rankings, in the conference opener for both teams on Saturday. The sophomore contributed four goals and an assist in the win, along with four ground balls and one caused turnover. This win marked the first time since 2013 that the Fords defeated the Diplomats.

A native of Mountain Lakes, N.J., Tietjen has amassed 33 goals and 16 assists this season. He currently leads the Centennial Conference in points per game (5.44) and goals per game (3.67). Additionally, he ranks 21st in the nation for points per game and 32nd for goals per game. 

As a team, Haverford ranks second in the conference and 20th nationally for scoring offense (15.22 goals per game), with a notable 11th national ranking in ground balls per game (42).

Haverford will continue its Centennial Conference slate on Wednesday, hosting Washington College at Swan Field. The opening face-off on Faculty & Staff Appreciation night is scheduled for 7 p.m.
