Full United Soccer Coaches Release
HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's soccer program has been awarded the United Soccer Coaches (USC) College Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 season, the organization announced in a Wednesday release.
A total of 801 soccer teams (307 men, 494 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 179 schools, including Haverford, had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
After the Fall of 2022, a total of 16 members of the squad were additionally named to the Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll: Joey Carol, Santiago Ospina Duran, Tomas Ascoli, Caleb Miller, Max Mouer, Meinhardt Rentrup, Dylan Ioffreda, Ben Menko, Alex Millones, Liam O'Malley, Matt Heim, Cyrus Nasseri, Lucien Dalseth, Luca Mello, Brian Lorenz, and Andrew Stephens.
Haverford will open the 2023 campaign on the refreshed Walton Field playing surface on September 1, welcoming in MIT to the birthplace of collegiate soccer for an early-season non-conference test with the Engineers.
