HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College Men's Tennis team has unveiled their 2024 spring schedule, following a 12-8 2023 spring season that saw the Fords reach the Centennial Conference Semifinals, and place five players on the 2023 All-Centennial Team. Entering year three, Head Coach Eric Spangler looks to lead the Scarlet and Black to the Centennial Conference Tournament for the third season in a row.

The Men's tennis team will kick off the 2024 campaign in Virginia, challenging both Washington & Lee and Christopher Newport in matchups on February 24 on the campus of CNU.

After a quick business trip in Allentown against Muhlenberg to open up Centennial Conference Play (March 2), the Scarlet and Black will head down South for the annual Florida swing, for the with specific matchups to be announced at a later date.

Following the slate in Florida, the Fords return to Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts for five more matches at home to mark a lengthy homestand. 

In the stretch at home, Haverford will also be welcoming Stevens (March 29), TCNJ (March 30), Washington College (April 2), Salisbury (April 5), and Gettysburg (April 6). The match with Washington College on April 2  will also serve as the annual Play with Pride Match. 

A much-anticipated Centennial Conference Semifinal rematch is slated for April 10 at Swarthmore, as the Fords look to avenge their 2023 postseason defeat. The match will also determine who will gain a crucial point in the Hood Trophy competition between the two schools. 

Following the matchup with the Garnet, Haveford come back home for their final two home matches of the season, as Centennial Conference foes Johns Hopkins (April 13) and Franklin & Marshall (April 20) round out the home portion of the 2024 schedule. 

Two final short trips to Ursinus (April 24) and Dickinson (April 27) round out the 2024 journey for the Fords, as they then turn their sights to the Centennial Conference Championship Tournament. 

The Centennial Conference Championship First Round begins on May 1, with the semifinals on May 3, and the finals on May 5. Haverford has made 15 consecutive appearances in the Centennial Conference Championship tournament, dating back to 2006.
