HAVERFORD, Pa. - The No. 39 Haverford College men's tennis team (9-7, 4-2 CC) picked up their fourth Centennial Conference win of the season, defeating Franklin & Marshall (8-8, 5-2 CC) 5-4, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts.

Before the match, the Fords honored Adam Chow and Kirin Eicher in a Senior Day ceremony, celebrating their hard work and dedication over the past four seasons.

The Fords raced out to an early 3-0 lead in doubles play, earning victories in all three doubles matches to begin the day. On court three, the pairing of Chow and Justin Minerva got past Gonzalo Gentou and Pedro Norte 8-4, before the duo of James McKenzie and Eicher turned away Luke Brodsky and Campbell Gervais on court two, for Haverford's second point of the day.

To wrap up doubles play, Marko Arboleda and Stefan Johnson vanquished Zac Ashtiani and Soren Rudin-Aulenbach 8-7 (7-4 tiebreaker), to give the Scarlet and Black a 3-0 lead headed into singles play.

Haverford continued piling on the points to begin singles play, as McKenzie's 6-2, 6-2 win over Daniel Feigelson on court four increased the host's lead to 4-0. However, F&M would battle back, as Samuel Donnelly defeated Johnson 7-5, 6-0 before Rudin-Aulenbach defeated Minerva 6-4, 6-4, notching a pair of crucial victories to trim the Haverford lead down to just 4-2.

With the Fords clinging onto a 4-2 lead, Chow celebrated his Senior Day by taking home his second win of the day in the fifth flight, denying Norte 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, to tack on the Scarlet and Black's fifth and clinching point.

Over on court one, Brodsky defeated Arboleda 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, before Ashtiani took down Aiden Kim in flight two 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6 tiebreaker). However, it was too little, too late for the Diplomats, as Haverford claimed a 5-4 victory over F&M.

Collegeville, Pa. will be the site of men's tennis' next contest, as the Fords will take on the Ursinus Bears on Wednesday, April 24, at 4 p.m. in the penultimate regular season contest.
