Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College junior Reza Eshghi picked up his first Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week honor of the 2024 outdoor season on Tuesday morning, the conference office announced in its weekly awards release.

Eshghi continued his stellar campaign as he recorded the fourth-fastest 1,500-meter time in Division III this year and the eighth-fastest time in Centennial history at the Paul Donahue Invitational at Widener on Friday night. The junior crossed the finish line in 3:47.25 to place fourth, trailing only a pair of Division I runners from LaSalle and an unattached professional athlete.

During the indoor season, the Lincoln, Mass. product was a second-team All-America selection for the indoor mile, and was the Centennial Conference champion in the indoor mile. He earned CC Athlete of the Week during the indoor season on January 22 after a blazing mile time at the Villanova Invitational on Staten Island.

Haverford now turns its focus to the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships next weekend, with action opening in Allentown on Friday, May 3. Prior to that culmination of a busy month, Peter LaRochelle and Ravi Eaton will compete at this weekend's Penn Relays.
