Men's Track & Field Adds Scoring Performances, Key Qualifications to Finals at CC Championships

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Haverford College men's track & field team concluded the second day of action at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Muhlenberg with a pair of scoring performances and crucial qualifying marks in some preliminary rounds. At the end of day two, Haverford has amassed 19 points, putting the Fords in a tie for sixth with Gettysburg and Swarthmore.

Haverford secured its first scoring performance of the day in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, with Seamus Fraser finishing sixth in 9:27.87, earning four points for the Fords. Devan Abrams finished 20th in 11:07.51.

Ravi Eaton delivered a season-best leap of 6.35 meters (20 feet, 10 inches) in the long jump, clinching eighth place overall and adding another point to Haverford's tally. Nathan Ma finished 29th overall with his best mark of 5.2 meters.

The 4x800-meter relay team, comprised of Micah Lachman, Reed Solomon, Owen Bluman, and Matthew Denton, secured a fourth-place finish overall, earning five points with a time of 7:55.67.

Jonathan Hill continued his impressive season with a personal-best time of 11.01 in the 100-meter dash, securing third place and qualifying for Sunday's final (1:10 p.m.). This time places Hill as the third-fastest mark in program history, the best since 2009. Jason Mayo also achieved a personal best but missed out on qualification with a time of 11.49 for 14th place overall.

In the 200-meter dash, Hill secured qualification for the final by finishing sixth in 22.23, also a season-best for the senior. Zenas Boamah finished 35th (24.68). The final will take place at 2:10 p.m. on Sunday.

A busy third day of action is scheduled for tomorrow, with an all-finals lineup starting at 11 a.m. at Scotty Wood Stadium on the Muhlenberg campus. Live video and results can be accessed via the Championships Central page.
