Women’s Basketball Takes Home 2022-23 WBCA Academic Team Honor Roll Special Mention

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Haverford College women's basketball squad earned special recognition for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Division III Academic Top-25 Honor Roll, the organziation announced in a release on Tuesday.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2022-23 season is the 28th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls. This year's release also marks the second in which all teams which qualified for the top 25 rankings with the minimum 3.0 GPA also are recognized for their academic accomplishment.

On the court, Haverford made its sixth consecutive trip to the Centennial Conference semifinals, while the Fords earned a postseason berth and won 15 or more games for the 11th consecutive season in 2022-23. 

In March, Erin Albright, Eleanor Alix, Abigail ClarkGia Flamini, Annabel Flint, Caroline Haynes, Michela Jones, Ally Landau, Cortlyn Morris, and Summer Ryan earned Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll status, with Landau additionally earning the Centennial Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year award.
