Landau Selected to All-Centennial Conference Second Team, Albright Named All-Sportsmanship

HAVERFORD, Pa.  - Senior Ally Landau was selected to the All-Centennial Conference second team, the conference office announced in a release on Wednesday morning. In addition to the selection, senior Erin Albright was named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship team.

Despite playing in just 17 games this season, Landau led the Fords in scoring for the third season in a row, averaging 16.3 points per game, finishing third in the Centennial Conference in that category.

The Livingston, N.J. native finished second on the team in assists per game with 2.1 and rebounds per game, pulling down 5.4 boards a game.

Landau reached double figures in 14 of the 17 games this season, including reaching the 30+ point mark in three separate games this season. After dropping 31 points against Immaculata (Nov. 14), which earned her Centennial Conference Player of the Week, the guard dropped another 31 points in the upset victory over Mary Washington in Puerto Rico (Dec. 30).

The Golda Och Academy product then topped those two fantastic games by matching a career-high 36 points in her final game as a Ford, in a 61-59 OT victory at McDaniel (Feb 17).

The Senior also joined elite company this season, becoming just the 11th player in Haverford history to score 1000 career points. Landau became the quickest player in school history to reach the milestone, eclipsing her 1000th point in just her 60th career contest.

Landau's second team nod caps off a decorated career for the guard, as she ended her Haverford tenure as a two-time Centennial Conference First-Team selection, a two-time d3hoops all-region selection, a two-time City of Basketball Love All-Area selection, and many more distinguished accolades, including being named the 2023 Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Albright was also honored Tuesday, as the senior earned a spot on the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team. The Clarks Summit, Pa. native appeared in all 25 games for the Scarlet and Black in her senior season, starting in 23. Albright finished the season third on the team in steals and sixth on the team in rebounding and assists.

The end-of-the-year awards for Centennial Conference Women's Basketball were highlighted by four different teams receiving end-of-the-season awards. Gettysburg's Alyana Arnolie took home the Centennial Conference Player of the Year award, while Dickinson senior Clair Marion was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year. Teya McConnaha, a first-year forward from McDaniel, claimed Rookie of the Year, while the coaching staff of Washington College picked up the Coaching Staff of the Year Award.
