Signature Wins: Haverford proved itself immediately as a serious threat for a repeat Centennial Conference crown by winning an impressive 14 of the first 15 conference contests out of the gates. After dropping a close contest at the Gooding '84 Arena to Gettysburg on January 11, the Fords toppled the No. 19 Bullets at Bream Gym in a highly anticipated first-place rematch between the two sides (Feb. 8). The contest saw the Fords snap the Bullets 19-game win streak and take over first place in the conference race as Julianna Clark stole the inbounds pass on the final Gettysburg offensive possession to seal a 54-51 victory. Women's Basketball then won three more consecutive contests, capping the program-best win streak at 11 straight triumphs with a Hood Trophy rivalry victory over Swarthmore at home (Feb. 19) also clinching the top seed in the Centennial Conference tournament in the process. Haverford then charged into a pivotal meeting with Dickinson in the Centennial semis, turning away the Red Devils for the third time in 2019-20 with a 67-57 victory (Feb. 28). The win set up a third consecutive Centennial Conference championship matchup between Gettysburg and Haverford, as the Fords erased a 14-0 deficit to storm past Gettysburg for a second straight Centennial title. Haverford outscored the Bullets 30-18 in the second half, taking the lead with nine seconds left in front of a frenzied home crowd. Clark and Anna-Sophia Capizzi each had 19 points in the title game as Haverford willed its way to the title with an electrifying fourth quarter.

Season Notes: Haverford reached the NCAA tournament for a third consecutive season, winning back-to-back Centennial titles for the first time in program history … Haverford's 23 wins were the second-most in program history, falling short only to the 2013-14 squad that delivered the program's first Centennial Conference title … Haverford's 11 straight victories from January 15 to February 19 represented the longest winning streak in program history … The Fords posted 18 wins in Centennial Conference play, the most in school history … Haverford's defense allowed just 47 points per game, the fourth-lowest total in the nation … Haverford's 10.9 personal fouls per game matched the fewest in the nation … Capizzi was the first Centennial Conference Player of the Year in program history …Capizzi became the first player to be named to first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors from D3Hoops.com and the second player in program history to earn WBCA All-America Honorable Mention honors … Capizzi was the 10th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point plateau, notching the mark at Muhlenberg on February 12.

Looking ahead: A standout senior class that included Centennial Conference Player of the Year Capizzi, Centennial Conference second-team selection Furch, Hannah Zoll, and Maddie Gallic graduates, but the Fords look in very strong shape to maintain their post near the top of the Centennial Conference with Centennial Conference Coach of the Year Bobbi Morgan at the helm for a 13th season. Julianna Clark will highlight the returners as she will enter her senior season already among the most vaunted shooters in program history. Nyla Robinson emerged as a multi-talented guard in 2019-20, helping solidify a young backcourt. Robinson topped the conference in assists (96) and was eighth in steals (49). Cortlyn Morris burst onto the scene in her rookie season, becoming a formidable presence in the post for Haverford. She paced the CC in blocks, swatting a conference-best 66 shots. Morris already ranks 11th in program history in that category after just her initial season. Raina Gully, Caroline Anderson, Lauren Howard, and Kayla Robinson all return to bolster the squad after seeing a wealth of minutes in 2019-20.
