HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford Senior Attacker Roma Hladky has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week after guiding the 22nd-ranked Fords to a key conference win over Washington College on Saturday afternoon at home on Swan Field.
The honor is the first for Hladky as the Fords have racked up their second CC Player of the Week honor of the season. Previously, Sam Silverman was the winner on March 8 after leading the Fords to a 15-12 victory over Scranton. The Randolph, N.J. product was instrumental for the Haverford offense, scoring a career-high seven goals and adding two draw controls while scooping three ground balls as No. 22 Haverford grabbed its first win over Washington College since 2013. Haverford is out to a four-game CC win streak.
Haverford (9-3, 4-1 CC) returns to action on Wednesday heading to another CC test against BiCo partner Bryn Mawr (7-6, 0-5 CC) at 4:30 p.m before the Tri-Co week concludes with a Hood Trophy rivalry test against Swarthmore on Saturday, April 23. The Fords then return home next week for the final two games of the regular season, against Ursinus (April 27) and F&M (Apr. 30).
