Crawford and Krieg Selected to IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -  The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has announced the rosters for the 2022 Senior All-Star Games this weekend. Haverford College women's lacrosse attacker Callie Crawford and defender Maria Krieg have each been selected to the North team for the Division III game. The players selected in each division have been divided into two teams: North and South. The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Sunday, June 5, 2022. 

Crawford, of Queenstown, Md. finished her season with 56 goals, good for fifth in the Centennial Conference. She has converted on 19-of-27 free-position strikes, good for second in the CC, while scooping 16 ground balls and causing 16 turnovers as a key cog in the offense and on the ride. Her 64 points this season was good for 8th overall in the conference, with 35 of those coming during Centennial play.

Krieg picked up second-team IWLCA All-Region honors after a first-time All-CC campaign. The Farmingdale, N.Y. product emerged as a lockdown defender for the Fords during her senior season, as she started all 18 games, collecting a team-best 45 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers while also grabbing four draw controls. At the end of Haverford's season, Krieg ranked third in the Centennial in ground balls and 20th in caused turnovers.

The Division III teams will play the first game at 11 a.m EDT, the Division I game will follow at 12:45 pm, and the Division II teams will cap off the event with their game at 2:30 pm. Admission for all three games is free of charge.
