Women's Lacrosse Appears in Initial Regional Rankings

NCAA Division III Regional Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. -- The No. 24 Haverford College women's lacrosse team was listed in the first edition of the NCAA's regional rankings.

The Fords are one of seven teams named in the initial Region IV rankings, which lists schools alphabetically rather than a true numerical ranking. The next round of regional rankings, expected next Wednesday, will be the first to rank the teams in each region.

Haverford currently holds an 9-4 overall record and a 6-1 mark in Centennial Conference play. The other teams in the initial release are Catholic (8-6), Dickinson (9-4), Franklin & Marshall (12-3), Gettysburg (12-2), Scranton (12-2), and Stevens (11-2).

Haverford's next matchup will be another tough one as they host the second-ranked Franklin & Marshall Diplomats on Saturday, April 20 for Senior Day on Swan Field.

A win against the Diplomats will help the Fords nail down a spot in the Centennial Conference playoffs with just two Centennial Conference games remaining.

The opening draw is scheduled for 12 p.m. as the program will honor Lizzie Healy, Jill DiTommaso, Emily Harrington, and Jordan Denaver prior to the start of the contest.
