HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's squash team (1-2), the nation's 27th-ranked team, fell to No. 20 St. Lawrence (2-0) by a 9-0 final at the GIAC Squash Courts. Haverford struggled to find its rhythm against the visiting Saints in the late afternoon home match.

Caroline Smith was a standout at the seventh flight, taking a game from Starnisha Ramsey to equal the match at one game apiece before Ramsey pulled away with 11-7 and 11-2 victories to claim the match win. Shreya Singh took Ulrikke Ribesen to the wire in the first game at the fourth flight (11-8, 11-4, 11-3) before falling in straight games.

Elsewhere, Ariana Solecki looked strong against a tough opponent in Makyla Kelley, and Catherine Fortin continued an impressive first year campaign, locking in a battle with Meg Pruett at the sixth flight.

The Fords will next return to action on Saturday, December 4 for the Vassar Round Robin. The Fords will match up with No. 24 Connecticut College (1 p.m.) and the host No. 29 Brewers (3:30 p.m.) in the final action of the fall semester before play resumes at the Pioneer Valley Invitational in early January. Haverford will next be in action at home on January 29 as No. 26 Georgetown and Vassar visit the GIAC Squash Courts.
