Women’s Squash Unveils 2023-24 Schedule

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's squash team has released its 2023-24 schedule. The 2023-2024 season marks the first season that Haverford will be competing in the Liberty League as an associate member. 

The Fords will be home inside the GIAC Squash Courts six times this season, starting off with an exhibition match against Swarthmore on November 2. 

Saturday November 4, sees the annual alumni/alumnae match for Haverford, getting started at 1 p.m. 

Following the alumni match, the Fords will kick off their regular season in the Pennsylvania State Championships, as they take on Chatham and Penn in a round robin at the National Squash Center in Philadelphia. 

The Scarlet and Black then host their home opener, as St. Lawrence rolls into town on November 18. 

In December, Haverford travel to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. for the second round robin match of the season, as they square off against Connecticut College and Vassar on December 2.

Another round robin contest awaits the Scarlet and Black in the new year, as the Fords travel to New London, Conn. for matchups with Connecticut College and Mount Holyoke on January 20. 

Haverford will have one more date in Connecticut (at Wesleyan on January 21), before returning to the GIAC for a round robin match with Bucknell and Vassar on January 27 at 10:30 a.m. This contest will also be the annual Play with Pride Match. 

The final two matches of the regular season begin a busy month of February, as the Fords host Colby on February 2, before heading to Carlisle, Pa, to take on Dickinson on February 3.

The Liberty League Championships are slated for February 10 and 11, and will be hosted by St. Lawrence in Canton, N.Y.

The National Squash Center in Philadelphia will be the host to both CSA Championships, as the CSA Divisional Team Championships will take place on February 15-18, and the CSA Individual Championships will be held from March 8-10.

Haverford Women's Squash finished the 2022-2023 season 7-10, and ranked as high as No.23 in the nation.
