Women's Squash Earns Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year, Saxon Named All-LL

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's squash program picked up a pair of awards in the annual Liberty League postseason release, as the Fords were represented by Amy Saxon on the All-Liberty League second team, while Niki Clement and Lauren Johnston were honored as part of the Liberty League Women's Squash Coaching Staff of the Year.

Haverford College joined Liberty League squash for the 2023-24 season. Under head coach Niki Clement's leadership, the women's team turned in a strong showing in its debut season, finishing fourth in the seven-team Liberty League championship after earning a quarterfinal-round win over fifth-seeded Mount Holyoke. Competing in the Walker Cup at the CSA Team Championships, Haverford went 2-1, securing victories over Liberty League rivals Bard and Vassar to conclude the season

Saxon, a sophomore hailing from Scarsdale, N.Y., finished the season with an 8-11 overall record and went 5-9 at the seventh flight. She concluded the season with two consecutive wins at the CSA Divisional Championships, competing at the seventh spot on the ladder against Liberty League opponents from Bard and Vassar. Additionally, she secured key victories against opponents ranked No. 20 Chatham and No. 33 Mount Holyoke throughout the season.

Haverford finished the season 6-13 overall and captured the consolation final of the Walker Cup at the CSA Divisional Championships last month.
