HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's tennis team checks in at No. 36 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, the organization has announced.
The women's squad is also the No. 9 team in the Atlantic South. Haverford is one of three Centennial Conference teams in the national rankings along with Johns Hopkins (No. 24, regional No. 6) and Swarthmore (No. 27, regional No. 8). Among individuals in the Atlantic South, Rachael Fitzgerald checks in at No. 22 overall in that top 25.
The Fords (8-5, 3-2 CC) have four regular season matches remaining, including a pair of home contests, wrapping up the home slate on April 23 against TCNJ. That match will also serve as senior day, honoring Haverford's lone senior, Ann Tobin.
Haverford will look to compete in the Centennial Conference tournament, which begins on May 4 with the First Round contest and continues through Sunday, May 8 to determine the CC's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championship.
