ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Following a momentous day one that saw Sarah Wilcher shatter the school record in hammer throw, the Haverford College women's track & field team returned to Scotty Wood Stadium on the campus of Muhlenberg College for day two of the Centennial Conference Championships.

It was a day to remember in the 4x800 meter relay, as the team of Dominique Monroy, Anastasia Jaycobs, Savannah Shaw (pictured), and Isabel Thornberry crossed the finish line in third place. The quartet darted to a time of 9:29.58. Not only did the splendid time give Haverford a crucial six points to the overall leaderboard, but the bronze-medal winning time slots in as the seventh-fastest time in school history.

The women's high jump started day two in Allentown, as both Summer Ryan and Brianna Feifer represented the Fords in that event. Feifer leapt 1.32 meters (four feet, four inches) to place 13th, while Ryan soared up to 1.27 meters (four feet, two inches) to grab 14th place.

At the throwing pit for the discus throw, Wilcher followed up her record-breaking day one by tossing the discus 36.44 meters (119 feet, 6 inches), to slot into fourth place and earn five points to the overall score.

The Fords had two athletes compete in the long jump, as Adriana Cruz-Soto jumped 4.54 meters (14 feet, 10.75 inches) to grab 15th place, and Ella Fleming took home 18th place by leaping 4.44 meters (14 feet, 6.75 inches).

The women's 3000 meter steeplechase saw three competitors represent the Scarlet and Black, as Alice Sappenfield led the Haverford trio, placing 11th with a personal best time of 12:02.08. Just behind her was teammate Savannah Shaw, who finished in 13th place with a time of 12:16.39, while first-year runner Poppy Chrisman completed the race in 16th place with a personal best time of 12:43.14.

Over at the 100-meter hurdle prelims, sophomore Abby Ryan darted to a new personal best time of 18.22, securing 12th place.

Back in the lanes for the 400 meter prelims, Olivia D'Aulerio secured a third place finish, after zooming to a time of 58.60. The blazing time has earned D'Aulerio not only a spot in the 400 meter finals, but the number two slot in Haverford history in the 400 meter event. Her teammate Isabel Thornberry also earned qualification to the 400 meter final, as the senior raced to a time of 59.39, to grab sixth place.

Nadine Tang led the way for the Scarlet and Black in the 100 meters, as the rookie sprinted to a ninth place finish with a season best time of 13.24, narrowly missing qualification to the final. Her teammate Shahla Mukhtar crossed the finish line in 21st place with a time of 13.77, before Cruz-Soto notched 25th with a time of 13.96.

In the 800 meters prelims, Carly Priest was the lone Haverford competitor, as the sophomore dashed to a time of 2:33.15 to finish 13th overall.

In the 400 meter hurdles, Rachel November collected a qualifying spot to day three's final, when the junior hurdled her way to a seventh place finish with a time of 1:13.60.

After qualifying for the 400 meter final, D'Aulerio had quite the performance in the 200 meter prelims. The sophomore bolted to a personal best time of 25.85, to secure her spot in the 200 meter finals.

Joining the personal best party in the 200 meter prelims was Tang, who raced to a time of 27.79, and Mukhtar, who posted a time of 28 seconds flat, to place 21st.

The Fords, who currently sit in sixth place with 19 points, will return to Scotty Wood Stadium for the final day of the Centennial Conference Championships, where Olivia D'Aulerio, Isabel Thornberry, and Rachel November all look to get on the podium in their respective events. The final day of the Centennial Conference Championships in Allentown begins at 11 a.m.
