Top 10 Tuesday: Voith Etches Name in Record Books

HAVERFORD, Pa. – It's Top 10 Tuesday! Every Tuesday from now through the end of August, we will take a look back at the Top 10 moments from the 2013-14 academic year. This list was compiled as a way to highlight one of the most successful athletic campaigns in the history of Haverford Athletics, both on the playing field and in the classroom.

Although there were many memorable moments throughout the 2013-14 seasons, we only have 10 summer Tuesdays. For a full list of all the highlights from this past year, be sure to check out the complete list of varsity highlights here. The Tuesday Top 10 will be revealed in chronological order beginning last week with the women's soccer team.

This week we look back at senior Nina Voith's record-breaking night as she etched her name in the women's basketball record books on February 5 against Muhlenberg College. Voith moved to the top of the program's career scoring list with a three-pointer from the wing (video) in the fourth minute of the eventual victory over the visiting Mules.

Voith's final season in a Haverford uniform was a memorable one as she helped the Fords author a historic campaign that included the first Centennial Conference tournament title and NCAA tournament victory in program history.

Graduating with 1,411 career points, Voith, who was named the conference tournament MVP, went on to earn first-team All-Centennial honors and second-team all-region honors. Voith also became the program's first All-American when the she was tabbed by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as an honorable mention selection.
