HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has announced the 2016 Fall Academic Honor Roll. With 63 student-athletes honored at Haverford, the Fords were well represented against the other schools from around the conference. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.
Men's cross country and men's soccer both led the Centennial Conference in Academic Honor Roll honorees after capturing their respective conference titles in 2016. Haverford field hockey also tied for the most student-athletes named to the academic honor roll in its sport. Women's soccer had 11 student-athletes honored, women's cross country had seven selections, while volleyball had six honorees.
Of those 63 student-athletes who were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, 17 were also represented on their All-Centennial Conference teams. Highlighting that list was women's cross country runner Nicole Giannetti who also earned the Centennial Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition for women's cross country.
Additionally, Ryan Herlihy (men's cross country), Graham Peet (men's cross country), Henry Woods (men's cross country), Danielle Rette (field hockey), Stephanie Terrell (field hockey), Will Corkery (men's soccer), Ben Field (men's soccer), Sam Miller (men's soccer), Russell Nicholson (men's soccer), Maclyn Willigan (men's soccer), Dorian Wirz (men's soccer), Abby Letts (women's soccer), Kathy Prescott (women's soccer), Katie Safter (women's soccer), Valentine Courouble (volleyball), and Zoe Wong (volleyball) were also all-conference and academic honor roll honorees.
