Haverford Leads Way on Spring Academic Honor Roll

Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has announced the 2017 Spring Academic Honor Roll. Haverford found itself leading the way with 101 recipients from its eight teams who compete in the Centennial Conference during the spring season. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.

In addition to having the most overall recipients from the spring season, Haverford had three teams with the most individuals honored among those sports. That list included men's lacrosse (19 recipients), women's lacrosse (14 recipients), and men's tennis (12 recipients). Haverford's total represents nearly 18 percent of the conference's honorees across 11 different institutions. Five of the eight spring teams had more representatives in 2017 than they did a year ago.

Men's outdoor track & field had the most student-athletes selected with 22 representatives. Women's outdoor track & field had 14 honorees, baseball earned 10 selections, women's tennis had seven student-athletes recognized, and softball added three recipients.
