HAVERFORD, Pa. – Another successful fall season has the Haverford College Athletic Department second in the Centennial Conference and 22nd among all Division III schools in the first fall release of the 2017-18 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup. Haverford's 117.5 point total from the fall is the 10th highest fall score in school history and the 12th time in the past 13 seasons in which the Fords have eclipsed 100 points during the fall.

Scoring for the Fords in the first release of the year were the men's and women's cross country teams as Haverford was one of just 17 schools in all of Division III to send both of their teams to the NCAA Championship. Field hockey and volleyball points were also counted as part of this release.

Haverford now has 18 top 10 finishes as a team in program history. The Fords were making their 25th straight appearance at the NCAA Championship as a team.

Women's cross country added 47 points to the total with a 27th place team finish at the national meet. Haverford has made the NCAA Championship meet on the women's side during eight of the past nine seasons, including each of the past three years.
