Haverford Places 89 On 2023 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Centennial Conference announced its 2023 Fall Academic Honor Roll in a release on Tuesday. A total of 839 student-athletes were honored on the Fall Academic Honor Roll this season across the Centennial. To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher. In total, 89 Haverford student-athletes were named to that designation this fall.

The awards list showcased Haverford College junior Peter LaRochelle, who clinched the Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year award after emerging as a standout on Haverford's roster. A Mathematics major, LaRochelle received the award as a junior or senior member of the All-Centennial team with the highest cumulative grade point average. The Scholar-Athletes of the Year distinction was first introduced in the Centennial Conference in 2013.

For academic honor roll, Haverford had the most nominees in men's cross country (17 selections), men's soccer (19 selections) and women's soccer (21 selections) while earning the second-most honor roll designations in field hockey (17 selections) and men's soccer (18 selections).

In addition to the Centennial Academic Honor Roll honors, Seamus Fraser, Peter LaRochelle, and Luca Ponticello from men's cross country joined Zoey Despines from Field Hockey, Dylan Ioffreda and Max Mouer from men's Soccer, Lauren Anderson, Phoebe Garfield, Grace Haskell and Sarah Klink from women's soccer, and Taylor Jones and Juliet Young from volleyball in earning Academic All-Centennial plaudits.
