Ulrich Receives DIS Academic Excellence Award

DIS Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Junior Jamie Ulrich of the Haverford College baseball team was given an Academic Excellence Award by the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS) earlier this month.

DIS is a Danish non-profit study abroad institution in Copenhagen, Denmark with semester, academic year, and summer programs taught in English. Established in 1959, DIS offers American students engaging and challenging coursework enriched by field studies, hands-on learning opportunities, and study tours in Denmark and across Europe.

The award honors a student who has distinguished him or herself through diligence, commitment, engagement, and excellent academic performance.

Ulrich was awarded the honor for his work with European Politics. He along with 18 other students were given accolades from the DIS. The junior participated in 12 games for the Fords' last season.

The Fords return in 2015 as the defending Centennial Conference Champions. Haverford went on to defeat top-seeded Moravian College in the NCAA Tournament, scoring the program's second NCAA victory in the past three seasons.
