Ott Named Centennial Conference Baseball Player of the Week

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College catcher and designated hitter Nick Ott was named as the conference's top bat this past week. Ott sported a .500 batting average through four games with seven hits in 14 at-bats.

Ott's biggest game came in the first of a doubleheader against McDaniel when the senior slugger went 4-for-4 with two home runs and a double in a 4-0 win. Ott later hit his third home run of the day in the second game. Earlier in the week, he also went 2-for-4 against Muhlenberg. He now leads the team in hitting with a .403 batting average.

The team currently sits in second place place in the conference with an 18-10 overall record and a 7-3 record within the league. With nine games left, the Fords expect to contend for their first Centennial Conference championship since 2014.

Ott and the rest of the team will be in action again on Tuesday as they travel to face Ursinus in another Centennial Conference matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
